Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with the use of artificial intelligence in human resource management functions. This qualitative study collected data through semi-structured interviews with 28 human resource managers and artificial intelligence experts. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis. Two main themes were identified: challenges and opportunities. Challenges included organizational resistance, ethical concerns, technological limitations, and the increased need for new skills. Opportunities included improving efficiency, enhancing decision-making, improving employee experience, accessing new talents, and fostering innovation and creativity. The use of artificial intelligence in human resource management can offer significant opportunities to enhance organizational performance. However, addressing ethical and technological challenges requires responsible management approaches committed to sustainable development.
